Generosity is a value which has to do with the will and willingness of an individual, who, of their own accord offers a private possession to someone else just to do them good. It is an altruistic action. It is an action meant for other people´s benefit in a disinterested way or, merely, to be happy about other person´s welfare.
Generosity implies initiative. Someone generous anticipates other people´s needs and requirements and offers it beforehand, considering it good for the other fellow.
We will explain below a value related to generosity, which expresses the aforementioned.

If and when somebody does have a need and is helped out by someone else in any way, we have to apply the term solidarity. As far as generosity is concerned, sharing is one of the key words. Deciding of your own free will to get rid of a part which we consider our own (be it tangible or not) so that another person can enjoy it as much as ourselves, or even more, can supply us with strong ties of union and is a very solid personal and emotional development.
